Wanted to know a littl more information about diabetes type 1 and 2 and also if it’s genetic?

The jury is still out on this even in the medical world Both types are thought to have a genetic link and type 1 may also have an auto immune link as well.

Types of Diabetes

Type 1 is normally found in younger people and it is when the body stops producing the insulin the body needs the only treatment for this is Insulin injections. Insulin can not be taken by mouth as it is destroyed by the stomach acids.

Type 2 is normally found in older people and is often when the pancreas produces insulin but the body has developed a resistance to the insulin so the blood glucose levels rise. This type may be treated by Diet, exercise, oral medications, insulin or a mixture of any or all the above.

It is a popular misconception that type 2 is caused by poor diet and lack of exercise, these are contributing factors but not causes otherwise thin people would never get diabetes and fat people always would. Diabetes CAN NOT be cured it can be controlled only.

There are other types of diabetes such as gestational diabetes and diabetes insipidus but type 1 and 2 are whaqt most people mean when they talk about diabetes.
Hope this helps email me if I can help any more.

How to Lose Weight With the 7-Day Diet

When you are dieting, you should choose a long-term plan to achieve and maintain weight loss. However, there may be times when you want to lose weight in a short period. You can achieve quick weight loss with the 7-Day Diet

Effective Day Diet Tips

Step 1
Start the diet by eating as much fruit as you want. On the first day of the diet, eat fruit and fruit juices all day. The only type of fruit that you can’t have is bananas.
Step 2
Eat vegetables and soup with vegetables on the second day of the diet.
Step 3
Buy a bunch of bananas for the fourth day of the diet.
Step 4
Finish the week with meat and vegetables. For the rest of the 7 Day Diet, you can eat four pieces of meat and limitless green vegetables each day. The meat source can be chicken, beef or fish and should weigh no more than 3 ounces a piece.
Step 5
Expect to experience significant weight loss. Since you are limiting your caloric intake, dieters find that they can lose more than 10 pounds following this diet.

Stop this diet if you begin to feel weak or fatigued. Some bodies cannot handle the restrictive nature of this diet.

Duration : 0:2:6

Is it diabetes type 1 when you just can’t eat to much sugar, or is that 2?

How does diabetes type 1 affect your life?

Diabetes type 1 happens when your body attacks your pancreas. The pancreas is an organ just under your stomach. In type1 diabetics, the body sees this organ (somehow) as a foreign body and it attacks and kills it. The pancreas makes insulin, which your muscles and other tissues need to convert sugar to energy, so if you’re a type 1 you need to take insulin. You need to inject insulin, but they’re working on insulin nasal spray!

Type 2 diabetes is different. Your pancreas is fine, you have enough insulin, but your tissues are insulin resistant. The result is very similar–sugar builds up in the blood and causes ‘complications’ like blindness, circulatory problems, kidney failure, etc. In both types you have to be careful what you eat, and to monitor your blood sugar levels.

Diabetes Type 1 Diet

If you have either kind of diabetes and you take care of yourself–watch your diet, do your meds, get some exercise (very important), you will live a normal life, pretty much. There are foods you have to stay away from, not just sugar but all kinds of carbohydrates. You can eat ‘a little’ of anything, it’s not like allergies, but you have to really watch it.

Insulin Level in Diabetes Type 1

With diabetes type 1 you have to calculate the correct dosage of insulin for what you are eating. If you -don’t- take care of it, you can get into trouble. Well, even if you are careful you can get into trouble. Diabetes is the biggest cause of blindness in the US, the biggest cause of amputations (from gangrene caused by damaged circulation) and of kidney failure. It also causes atherosclerosis (‘hardening of the arteries’).

I just have to watch what I eat, and get some exercise. I have diabetes type 1, and I feel just great most of the time.

Best Diabetes Formula
Optimum Diabetics was formulated to provide nutritional support for people with diabetes. Each supplement includes a complete, full-potency formulation of vitamins, minerals and standardized herbal extracts. Diabetes in the Media People with diabetes have to be extra mindful in watching what, when and how much they eat because it affects blood sugar levels.

What is the metabolic abnormality that underlies the characteristic symptoms of diabetes mellitus?
A. A failure of the kidney tubules to reabsorb glucose from the urine
B. A failure of the villi of the intestine to absorb glucose from food
C. The body can’t switch from glucose metabolism to fat metabolism between meals.
D. The body’s cells can’t retain glucose absorbed from the blood.
E. The body’s cells can’t absorb enough glucose from the blood.

I believe it is E.
Insulin, which is secreted by the Pancreas, helps to control the amount of sugar in the bloodstream. When the Pancreas does not secrete enough Insulin or none at all, the sugar remains in the blood. Then the body tries to flush out all of the sugar by drinking and urinating- two key symptoms of diabetes.
